Summer Trends- pt 1. Native American Inspired

Native American Inspired Summer Clothing
Great for Girls on a Budget

One of the most popular trends of the summer, is Native American and Vintage Inspired clothing and Jewelery. It was literally all over the runway in the Fall 2009 Shows for winter and summer, so naturally it would be in style for June and July.
Of course we don't want to go all out and wear these heavy, couture outfits. Instead we want to make the most out of the detailing and add it to our basic, light weight neutrals. My favorite place to go to look for cheap Native American Inspired clothing is Forever 21, as they have many options and accessories for a relatively low consumer price.
All of these Native American Inspired outfits are under 20.00 at Forever21.com

A few great cheap Forever21 Accessories under 10.00:

So there you have it! A cheap way to incorporate an awesome trend into your wardrobe. Any of the pairings from the two categories are under 30.00s all together! Perfect for that girl on a budget!

Now of course, we have to cover great Native American inspired hair! Girls are sporting it all over the place along the coast line, as the messy look is easy to achieve, chic, and looks really nice and has a sexy/laid back appeal. Below you can see the reference image of the actress who played Pocahontas in The New World- wearing her hair loose and wavy in a very relaxed period look.
Actress Q'orianka Kilcher
This look has become much more modernized and is now the signature look of singer K$SHA. Instead of the natural, gentle waves that Kilcher has- Which can be easily achieved by braiding long, unlayered hair loosely and leaving it in overnight- K$SHA upgrades the look into an edgy day/night look.
Her hair is waved very messily, teased, and texturized. She also wears feathers in her hair, giving it a more ethnic feel. Now, I don't know about you, but I think that this look, is perfect for summer. It is messy enough that you could even tie it into a pony tail if it gets a little too hot, and then when you are ready for partying in the evening, you would only have to let it down and the extra kinks in the hair from your hair tie would add to the sexy texturized appearance.

Unfortunately, I have recently cut my hair into a pixie cut, so I am unable to do a video tutorial on how to achieve this look myself, but I found a great one on youtube by ILYJESSICAOMG so that you all can see how it is done. Leave this girl props and comments! Check out her Blog at: http://ilyjessicaomg.blogspot.com/

So there you all go! I hope that you have great luck getting down this awesome summer trend!
